Working from home provides many options for different fields and pathways to go down. It can even open up opportunities for a new career. There are many jobs from home that you can find and work easily and comfortably from your own computer.
The following is a list of jobs from home, as well as a brief description of each of them.
1. Data Entry
This is a great job for anyone who has a little extra time. All you need is a computer, and some simple Microsoft Office skills. Involved in this job are only some small organizational skills and knowledge of Microsoft Access. You will be making and keeping records, organizing and creating databases, and performing other small clerical-type duties.
2. Surveys
This is a great opportunity for stay-at-home moms, high-school and college students, or just anyone who needs a little extra money. Many online employers are looking for people to take surveys online and will pay quite well for the simple work. Most online survey takers are paid about fifty cents to two dollars per survey and each only takes about fifteen minutes to complete. Some survey sites will ask you to take a small survey before each paid survey to see which surveys you qualify for. This is because some surveys will ask questions about family income, appliances, or even video games.
3. Writing
There are lots of great Internet opportunities for writers. Normally, the job will include a good knowledge of Microsoft Word and writing aptitude. The writer will be given an assignment via e-mail along with a deadline. Once the assignment is completed, he or she will submit it to the employer, also via e-mail. Each article, blog, etc. is usually worth about three dollars. This type of work is not difficult, but you should pay attention to detail, editing, proofreading, etc.
4. Clerical Work
This type of job is usually a little bit harder to find than other types of Internet jobs and is similar to data entry. The reason these jobs are hard to find is because more businesses are looking for secretaries and such to work in the office. But, there are still clerical-type jobs available over the Internet. Needed for this job is good all-around knowledge of Microsoft Office, as well as telecommunication skills and organization; if you are employed in this type of field, you will be filing, keeping records, answering calls, and making appointments.
5. Website Design
This job is good for the creative person. You will also need good knowledge of the Internet and some sort of artistic ability. You will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office. If you are employed doing this type of work, you will be designing and creating websites, writing text and advertisements, making the website interesting, etc.
Internet jobs are not the best source of income, but if you are looking for a second job, do not have the time to get a full-time job, or are just looking for a little extra cash, then an Internet job is right for you.
